Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 June 2026
This privacy policy explains how Turners Cross Christian Church ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our website at tcchristianchurch.ie. We are a small Christian group based in Cork, Ireland, and we have written this policy to be as plain and honest as possible.
The short version
This is a simple, informational website. We do not run any sign-up forms, user accounts, online payments, advertising, or analytics/tracking on this site, and we do not set any cookies of our own. We do not sell or share personal information.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information directly through this website. If you choose to call or email us using the contact details on the site, we will of course receive whatever information you send us (such as your name, phone number, email address, and the content of your message). We use that information only to respond to you and to provide any help you have asked for, and we keep it no longer than necessary.
Third-party services
To run the website we rely on a few third-party services. When your browser loads our pages, these services may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type, and some may set their own cookies:
- Hosting (Amazon Web Services / CloudFront) — serves the website and may keep standard, short-lived server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability.
- Google Maps — the map showing our meeting location is embedded from Google. When it loads, Google may receive your IP address and set cookies. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — we load fonts from Google, which may receive your IP address to deliver them. This is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not control how these providers process your information; please see their own privacy policies for details.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies ourselves. The embedded Google Map may set cookies when it loads. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law, you have rights over any personal information we hold about you, including the right to access it, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to or restrict our use of it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Children
This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
